Attempts to Enliven Broadway Park

In the 1970's, movements to create an attractive and popular Broadway Park began again. In 1971, a group of students volunteered to work with the Parks Department to construct steps leading down from Broadway into Broadway Park.

In 1986, Surveys were given to 215 households within 2 blocks of Broadway Park to ascertain what the community wanted in a redesigned park. Unfortunately, only 22 surveys were returned. The results are shown in the following documents:
