Telling It Curriculum: A model for an interactive website
Offered in conjunction with an undergraduate and graduate-level course entitled “Empowering Community through Creative Expression,” Telling It uses the arts and creative writing to support the scholastic achievement, self-confidence, and literacy skills of at-risk youth. The goal of this project is to create a curricular model that can be replicated by others within community-based settings and institutions of higher education. Deb Gordon-Gurfinkel is working with others on the development of an interactive website that will be used to disseminate this pedagogical tool.
